Looking Back-The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker | Addicted-Gamers

The recent rumors of a new Zelda title just around the corner has made some the A-G editors excited. Here's a retro review of a classic from nearly a decade ago. It also contains a video montage of the adventures that players will encounter throughout the Wind Waker.

Miss M @ Addicted-Gamers writes:

"...this title easily lives up to what one would expect from a series as renowned as the Legend of Zelda."

I really enjoyed this game! Seeing this now, I feel like playing it again :D

It was something else. Probably the greatest and most under-appreciated Zelda game. I also believe nothing has ever matched this style of celshading called 'toon shading', and art style that even to this day surpasses some of the most advanced visuals around. What a treat would it be to get this artstyle again on the WiiU in 1080p @ 60 frames. Man that makes me smile.

I always felt Majora's Mask was the most under-appreciated Zelda title.

I would love to see the WW's celshaded graphics on the Wii U as well, but after that E3 demo footage, it's going to be really hard to convince the fans :P

I remember picking this up with my mate. We spent 4 days in his room with 2 TV's and 2 Gamecubes just plaything through Wind Waker. Good times man and definately one of, if not the best Zelda games.

The best Zelda game there is. I love Wind Waker to death. <3 Haha.

I go back and play it usually around once a year. It's still pretty nice to look at, and really fun to play after all this time. And the music.. Oh, man, it's just so dang perfect.

Nintendo needs to give us a real Wind Waker sequel, dang it! And add in co-op like Four Swords while you're at it, just splitscreen instead of using a handheld. I think the game would benefit from it greatly.
