Ugh..I am so sick of people thinking it’s one of the best game series of all time. The only reason why Kingdom Hearts is popular is because of hardcore Disney nerds. It is definitely not the best game ever made.

bradtramel4826d ago

I don't think you've ever played a Kingdom Hearts before, sir. No, it may not be the "best game ever made," but it certainly is great.

ritsuka6664826d ago

I have played every Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 game myself, and therefore, I have the right to make fun of the series and how horrible it is on some aspects.

Keroyx4826d ago

I don't think the series is great because of 'hardcore' Disney fans, but the fact that people were interested in seeing the outcome of such an odd crossover. It's not perfect, but it's done pretty damn well considering it's initial concept.

And despite all that, I still have this fear that Square-Enix will do to this what they did to Final Fantasy VII: Movie, needless side stories, ignoring fan outcries for a remake...

rezzah4826d ago

No game is the best game ever made.

KH is one of my favorite game series of all time though.

Me_My4821d ago

I have to strongly disagree as Half Life is the greatest series in video gaming history, followed by the Deux Ex series.

I only keep buying these games because I want closure to the series. The games are great as far as being fun, but the plot has only gotten progressively worse with each new iteration with new games being released to just expand on side stories I wasn't interested in in the first place.
I'll always remember Kingdom Hearts as the series with great potential ruined by Square Enix's greed.

I for one love the series and dont go on a post to shit on it :)

Why do we think this is coming out on Switch 2 before Xbox? Any thoughts? The S2 is not more powerful than the Series S so it’s not a ‘lack of power’ issue. Perhaps the sales forecast is higher on S2 than Xbox so that’s maybe where their priority lies?

jznrpg5d ago (Edited 5d ago )

It’s definitely a sales issue. If Xbox didn’t have players used to GamePass I bet it would be there already.

andy854d ago

The fact people will buy it. Xbox gamers generally have minimal interest in this series. Portable Final Fantasy will go down a storm in Japan where the switch sells huge numbers

repsahj4d ago

Hamaguchi states not just the remake but the entire FF7 remake series.

The Switch 2 version is really beautiful. It looked as good as the PS5 version.

I kind of wish Square Enix would return to their roots… well, more so the PS1 era.

FinalFantasyFanatic60d ago

They were absolutely cooking during the PS1 era, now I can't get excited for the majority of SE's newest games. I would actually love it if AAA developed forgot about making the best graphics ever and focused moreso on other aspects of games. Limitations really did breed innovation back then.

originaljohn59d ago

The PS1 was cutting edge at the time, it removed limitations.
The innovation came from a huge wave of game creators using the PS1 as the main development platform.

originaljohn59d ago

So are we just ignoring Octopath Traveler 1&2, Live Alive, Bravely Default 2 and Triangle Strategy then yeah?

CrimsonWing6959d ago (Edited 59d ago )

I guess I worded it wrong, I wish Square would return to MORE of their original IPs from the PS1 era, more specifically things like Parasite Eve, FF Tactics, Xenogears, Brave Fencer Musashi, Einhander, and Vagrant Story. Better?

Gamingsince198160d ago (Edited 60d ago )

They found retro games and some are as old as 30 years ? So most of it wouldn't even be retro I imagine.

Weird thing is amstrad commodore and spectrum games are much older than 30 years mostly so how are the oldest ones 30 years ?

retro
adjective
Involving, relating to, or reminiscent of an earlier time.

yeah, they qualify as retro
