Xbigygames takes a look at Double Fine's fan based funded game and assess whether other companies can use the same business model to fund projects.
Double Fine Productions has teased the next Time Schafer game in the latest episode of PsychOdyssey on YouTube.
It looks like a third entry isn't happening soon.
Just how do studios cope with the pressure to "produce a worthy sequel"?
I'm about 9 episodes into this and it's great. They've been recording it for long, long time, pre Kickstarter and Rhombus.
I still wonder if it'll be on one platform, exclude one that this game could be on, given that they've received money from multiple sources.
Also have to scratch my head at the notion on gamers "paying" for a game they'll have to buy.
one hit wonder ? Mmmh... I don't think so, but it won't replace the usual publisher any time soon
and I guess that only a developer with a good track record and fanbase will be able to get a few millions like Tim Schafer
Kickstarter FTW
