With the Blackwell series getting a release on Steam, EoN gives the popular adventure game a look. Starting with the first, The Blackwell Legacy.
"Point and click adventures have come back pretty recently in a very strange way thanks to developer Telltale Games. They have actually become the primary reason I have finally jumped on board this type of game thanks to their recent re-release of Lucas Arts’ Tales of Monkey Island. It appears that now that I have grown older, I have gained the patience to play these types of games, and read books, and complain about other drivers on the road… and kids these days." ~ Brendon from EoN
The Humble Wadjet Eye Games Bundle just launched. It includes 14 items including The Blackwell Legacy, Unavowed, and Primordia. As always, a percentage of profits from the bundle go to charity.
Videogames.coffee writes "When I approach an older point and click adventure game I try to do so while being mindful that it was created in a different time. I expect to backtrack, I expect obtuse puzzle solutions, I expect to spend a while trying to combine different items to see what only the developer could. So, I tried to approach The Blackwell Legacy – a game originally released in 2006 – like this."
Bit Cultures writer Conner plays through his Steam library in alphabetical order, writes a brief summary of his experience on each game, and then gives them his own personal rating. Here's week 9 of Steam A to Z!
