Resident Evil 6: Capcom Reveals A Playable Demo - Here's How & When You Can Play it

As we all gear up for another horrifying adventure with Capcom’s next inclusion into the long running Resident Evil franchise, the multifaceted developer/publisher revealed today the existence of a Resident Evil 6 Demo.

"Purchasers of the Xbox 360 version of Dragon’s Dogma will be able to redeem this token and download the Resident Evil 6 demo globally on the Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for Xbox 360 60 days earlier than any other platform starting on July 3. The demo for owners of the PlayStation®3 system version of Dragon’s Dogma will go live on the PlayStation®Store on Sept. 4 in North America and Japan and Sept. 5 in Europe."

If the game is good I was going to get it anyway. Last time I watched the trailer I came away impressed. Certainly not getting the game for the demo though, I lol at anyone who does that.

Its all good it seems microsoft is more worried about getting demos and game content early insted of making new exclusives games for 360.... plus i can just wait til re6 comes out on the ps3 no biggie.

That's the stupidest thing ever. So, because you're going to play the demo on the 360, you're going to buy it on 360? For that reason alone? I mean, I could see getting it because it was the better version, but just because the demo came out first?

Wow. This is sort of bogus. Makes me want to question both Dragons Dogma and RE6. Are they going to get in bed with Microsoft and get more than just this? Ie the way ps3 was treated by Dead Rising. I certainly hope not as I'm very interested in buying both of these games for PS3. I just don't want to be "Call of Duty'd".

Does MS actually make games for the 360 anymore or is all they do is buy early demo/DLC. Haven't they learned that this is what caused them to lose the 8 million lead they had on the PS3. Gamers want sick exclusives and lots of them because it's what defines your console.

This right here is sick and sad a 60 day early access...two months really what crap. Whatever Capcom as much as I love them will sell their souls for a penny if they could...

Exactly, Like how MS spent all that money for GTA4 DLC and gamers were excited, MS used it as marketing that it's exclusive but by the time it came out a good chunk of gamers could have cared less and had already moved on to other games. I myslef included. DLC needs to come out during the peak of the game not months later. I for one will not buy a game just for the demo. Once it hit's PS3 stores it'll rollout to all for download no code needed anyways a month later.

Yup, I wouldn't buy a game for a demo anyways. Ill wait until it releases normally. Still, Microsoft should focus on getting first party developers under its belt rather than hand out sacks of cash for a early demo.

Yeaaah......I'd rather wait for a public demo to release and the actual game. I'm not buying one of your games which I have no particular interest in playing just to play a demo. I'll just buy a game I have interest in and that will keep me occupied until RE6 comes out, but it's sad that there are people who are that desperate to buy a new console and game just to play what could be a 10 minute demo.

No disrespect towards Microsoft, but I won't ever leave Sony. Free online (as it should be), 3D, and various gaming options, trumps propaganda, high fail rates (equivalates to bad cost vs reward), and pricy add ons....in my opinion.

I don't care about Microsoft's latest ploy....I can wait.
