From Strategyinformer.com: "It’s rather amusing that a Swedish-developer’s ‘Dream’ game is one about the English Civil War. Saying that, it’s probably less about the subject matter than about what War of the Roses really is – a manifestation of Paradox’s desire to go ‘big’. If you’re looking for the cliff not notes, Roses is a third-person medieval action game with a focus on multiplayer – like Battlefield just set in the Middle Ages. Delve a little deeper however, and you’ll find out why it’s one of this year’s ‘one to watch’ games for us".
GamersGate launched a 2.0 version of their summer sale named, Summer Sale Reloaded. "Pete and Frank are back and at it once again to talk games, games, and a little life. Joining them this week is a very special mystery guest, who is certain he can be taken and seized and ride that seizure all the way to the top. He also plays DOTA, which the guys talk a bit more about. Pete brings ‘Dungeons Dashers’ and ‘Castles in the Sky’ in for discussion and Frank talks about ‘War of the Roses’, ‘Lose Lose’ from Zach Gage, and passively mentions Whale Trail. The guys then talk news and have a heated Rando discussion which sparks some debate between Pete and our very special guest."
In this episode Kingdom Under Fire 2 is announced for North America and Europe, Hardware: Shipbreakers turns into Homeworld: Shipbreakers and LEGO strikes back with LEGO Minifigures Online. The new First Looks focus on Merc Elite, War of the Roses and HeroesGo, while The Most Wanted game of the week is Closers: Dimensional Conflict, a beautiful side-scrolling anime-styled action game out of Korea.
This this this is how a PC game is suppose to be made !!!
This is gonna give the next gen cards to flex their muscles.
Hmm, Paradox, FatShark, DICE, Mount & Blade devs all working on a game together, Paradox IS going big!
That screenshot looks incredible, so this is like a Medieval Battlefield game?
LOVE mount and blade. just getting back into it after finally giving the multi a go and starting up the blood and steel mod :)
Really looking forward to this game, up there with the big hitters like mass effect 3 in my opinion.
I'm not too sure that it will rival games such as Witcher 2 graphically though. Although that's probably because Mount and Blade is fugly lol
