Chris Buffa (Modojo): Lunar Racer reminds us of Mario Kart in the sense that you can use power-ups against the competition, including land mines and heat-seeking missiles. Where this game separates itself from Nintendo's award-winning series is in its perspective (2D) and outer space themed environments, Rainbow Road notwithstanding.
AppSpy: Lunar Racer may not be as unique as it had hoped to be on launch, but its fast flipping and nitro-boosting Kart-style racing is both eye-popping and fun at the same time.
TheAppera: This game feels a lot more polished graphics wise compared to any of Noodlecake’s games. I like how they’re able to keep their candy colors and yet drive the game in the correct art style progression to switch things up.
Pocket Gamer: In spite of some really great ideas, Lunar Racer doesn't quite manage to hold the attention for long enough, although it's still worth a look.
