Last week’s XBLA release, AMY, recently received a raft of bad publicity with large numbers of negative reviews scored across most gaming review sites. Today a post was made on the game’s official Facebook page in it’s defence and some advice for frustrated gamers to switch to Easy mode to improve your enjoyment:
"As many of you have already heard, AMY is a HARD game. Some people totally disliked that while other really enjoyed it. We believe this is part of the survival experience we tried to build as we wanted the game to be challenging. However, we actively listen to the community and comments and hence recommend the non-hard core gamers to launch the game in EASY mode (in the settings) for now. This will give them a much more pleasant and smoother experience, especially as the checkpoints are scarce."
Like any console, not every release was going to be a hit, and the PS3 certainly had its fair share of stinkers.
turning point had a really great story / concept... it just was very generic in its game play.
Oof! yeah, Ride was a huge fumble they tried to market twice.
Haven Fall of the King was dog-shi7-tastic and should be a runner up to some of those.
I'd even nominate Legend of Kay. Heh Haze... there is no excuse for that one (just pretend Haze did not happen).
MonsterVine: "Let’s take a look at five survival horror games that tried to do something special but, for one reason or another, completely missed the mark."
Examining and discussing how characters on the spectrum have been and could be utilized in our favorite medium.
What's kinda funny about this is, that I have a theory that all these electronics are what are causing autism. You think back to about a generation ago and autism wasn't that wide spread, or we just didn't diagnose it. I feel that since all electronics put out an emf field that it can have adverse affects on a developing brain. No data or anything for this, just a theory I have.
As many of you have already heard, AMY is a BAD game.
I feel bad for the devs. But not bad enough to ever buy this game.
Amy too crap for most gamers.
All of this AMY talk has me wanting to do a Shitty Game Night with it. Once I do that, it's no longer just hard, developers. It's bad.
I don't recall many people complaining about the game being hard, mostly that it's badly designed in a lot of ways.
