Cave Story Plus is an updated version of the original Cave Story released in 2004 and developed by Daisuke “Pixel” Amaya over a four year period. The culmination of his effort resulted in a sidescrolling platform adventure following in the footsteps of Metroid, Castlevania and Mega Man.
