The US Army has long been involved in the world of video games. It came out with its first branded game America's Army back in 2002, and controversy has surrounded the Army's use of games as a recruiting tool ever since.
Propaganda. It's that thing that's all around us and is probably bad for you, but no one gives a shit, except for one man because he's all out of gum: [audience laughs]. Okay, that probably wasn't a John Oliver-worthy opening, but propaganda in video games is real and has influenced many a game since the inception of the industry itself.
Ah, America. I hear it’s the land of the free and the home of the Whopper. Sure, it’s in somewhat deep shit over PRISM and several other scandals, but you can’t help but respect it for at least trying to make those scandals possible.
With that out of the way, it’s Independence Day here in the United States. You’re more likely to find a barbecue than productivity this time of year, so in the spirit of things, our reviews editor Andrew Esposito and I have decided to compile our top 3 patriotic games. These are games that will make Lady Liberty herself blush with shame for her relative lack of patriotism.
Freedom Fighters says hello! Such a short sighted list. It should be at least number 3 on that list. Metal Gear feels a lot more Japanese than American.

Most gamers are quick to ridicule unfair game design situations, but why have we allowed this boom to continue anyway?
As wrong as it sounds, the US military is a company, and it survives by bringing in new employee's.
Its not as bad as country's that force you to join the army.
