OXCGN:
"There is a cloud of pessimism in the air, and much like every century or millennium end (cough…Y2K bug…cough), people throughout history like to think of the “End of The World” coming in their lifetime and attribute disasters like the Black Death to signs like misread Mayan prophesies that it is indeed coming soon.
This feeling is mirrored in art: where in the past there were paintings to represent doomsday and world devastation, we now have film and games...
Now that we are living in 2012, The Year Of Apocalypse is apparently upon us, and a host of games representing the struggle to survive mass destruction are also coming.
Here are a few of them:"
PlayStation - The Concert is a magical musical experience for fans of the brand.
Two award-winning masterpieces, together in one incredible collection.
As expected. Unless it's going to Xbox or Switch 2, we can stop hearing about these older games now? We can move on to just news about new games?
This will be the 4th time Sony sells us The Last of Us Part 1.. And the 2nd time on the PS5.
Store says I already own it. I guess it’s just a straight twin-pack. Looks like they added 4 maps to ‘No Return’.
billibil-kun: "As The Last of Us season 2 prepares to air on HBO, we've spotted a mysterious reference to a special edition of a physical PS5 game from the franchise. Here's our take on the game, which remains unclear for now."
I hope it's both ps5 games bundled with all updates including the new no return add ons for April. I'll triple dip on that.
I hope I Am Alive is good...the fact it is DLC only makes me wonder if they think it is a AAA title or not...
I'm not that taken with The Last of Us at all yet, but bring on AC3 and ME3!
Yeah I agree about all those groups and individuals who think the 'end is near' every time something bad happens.
There's so much negativity these days (just watch the news) that I love games like Uncharted that are fun and uplifting. We need more games like that and less of these serious 'gotta save the world' or 'survive terrible things' apocalypse games.
And definitely less zombie games!
Maybe 2013 will be the year of uplifting 'rising from the ashes' games
Very good list, although some of the choices are... interesting.
Awsome. I'll be getting The Last of Us, Metro: Last Light, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 (if it hits PS3 this year), Mass Effect 3, I Am Alive .. Post apocalyptic games that were left off are Amy, Borderlands 2, Darksiders II, Resident Evil Chronicles HD and Yakuza: Dead Souls.
