Eiji Aonuma hints at the next Zelda game

Hyrule Historia is the gift that keeps on giving. As more and more pages are translated and vigorously read by fans, we are given more previously unknown information about Zelda each day. GlitterBerri has been quickly and accurately translating her copy of the book, and a quote from Eiji Aonuma not only reconfirms something that fans have known about for years–or, for some, been complaining about–but also gives us a tiny glimpse into the future of the series.

There will be a 3DS Zelda game, this is confirmed.

But we're not sure if it's a Majora's Mask 3D, or a remake of Link to the Past, or a completely new title.

I do hope however that the Zelda WiiU demo we saw is what the next console Zelda game will look like.

I don't have a link, but I read somewhere that Aonuma said the next 3DS Zelda won't be a remake. Two remakes after each other on the same console would be a little lazy, after all.

They delegate such remake to other teams.
Not lazy =P.

If I'm not mistaken, Nintendo has said that an original Zelda is in the works, a 3D remake of A Link to the Past and that Majora's Mask 3D is a possibility.

Of the 3, I'd personally love to see that Majora remake. If they throw in Majora's own version of Quest Mode, then I'll buy on the first day.

Zelda 3D was partially outsourced to Japanese developer Grezzo, same folks who brought Zelda Four Swords Anniversary to DSiWare. Also, they partially outsourced Star Fox 64 3D to Q-Games, same folks who gave us Star Fox Command.

I want a new full 3DS Zelda. I dont want another remake

A tad darker, mystic and magical like Majora`s Mask would be nice.

Nice to know that the next Zelda is already in development. I hope it is the WiiU game.
