Steam has annoucned today, their full record results of the year 2011.
the service will continue to grow and offer gamers more value
"Meanwhile Steam doubled the amount of content delivered in 2011 vs. 2010." This year was definitely the year to do it, if any. So many good god damn games!
780 petabytes? They'll break into the exabytes when they release the next Half-Life.
Somehow, someone, somewhere will turn this into a clue for Half Life 3!
Wow.I wonder how many years until they hit the yottabyte? 10 or 20 years? I am expecting that brick and mortar stores will go extinct in the next 10 years.
Yep PC gaming is dead. :s Last year i played most PC games then PS3.
This may have something to do with the clearly outstanding quality as our consoles show age. Given the possibility of another generation of console, that could change in 2013.
When new consoles come out the process of 'PC Gaming is Dead' articles will start again. But for me, PC is going to be my main platform even when the PS4/720 is out. Because there is no way in hell that the PS4/720 will have more GPU power than my 2 AMD HD 6970s. The PS4/720 will beable to do native 1080p but ill bet money that developers after a few years will go back to 720p to make there games look even better and push more things on screen.
