Pocket Gamer: A demonstration of how brilliant design can enliven the simplest of ideas, Azarashi is a terrific test of your reflexes.
AppAdvice: Azarashi ($0.99) by Studio Pixel is a game of reflexes. How quickly can you react?
There isn’t a lot to this game, but I found it charming and actually pretty addictive. It’s also from Studio Pixel. I mean, really? Do you need more reason than that? In case you are unfamiliar with who these guys are, just know that they developed the awesome platform-adventure game, Cave Story.
Pocket Gamer: Azarashi creator Daisuke Amaya is best-known for PC freeware classic Cave Story, and it’s a shame his much-loved platform shooter isn’t on the App Store.
Though some would undoubtedly question its suitability for touch controls, one need only look at Halfbot’s exemplary work on Vlambeer’s Super Crate Box to realise how well Cave Story could potentially work on iOS devices.
