The story of the game starts millions of years in the past, yet it describes the cultures and races far beyond our own in all technical aspects. The exploration of space, the adventures on faraway planets, merciless wars between rival galactic empires – everything is in there. But the plot itself can offer more than that…
The Precursors doesn’t make it compelling. You don’t get new toys to play with. You can’t do anything meaningful with all the cash except stock up on medkits and missiles. You’re left with the urge to play a better space trader like X3: Reunion, or a better sci-fi RPG like Mass Effect 2. Do that instead.
In fact, I assumed it got cancelled long ago, since no new info had been released in ages. This was also coming to 360...it likely did get canceled for budgetary reasons.

Their website hasn't been updated in a couple years...other than the copyright info at the bottom of the page...yet the page is still active. It was one of the first next-gen games to be announced, several years back, along with the likes of Dark Sector and another no-show WarDevil/ Project Kane.
Some new The Precursors screenshots have emerged from Deep Shadows. The screens showcase the fiery Sunaks area of the game.
Not really my visual style, looks a little gordy and artificial. Graphically lacks a little depth (atmospherics and DoF).
However premise/idea has some promise.

This game is shaping up nicely, it looks a whole lot better then it did a year ago.
Not that this game is aiming for graphics, its aiming to become the largest scale rpg ever.
Hopefully this game will become as awesome as it sounds like.
The game looks like an Oblivion in space or a FPS Mass Effect. I'm interested :)

information has slowly started leaking out about 360 console exclusives for 08.And they all seem to be very different from one another.
Its going to be another good year
Agreed 2008 is the year of the European developer. Many of the big exclusives are European made. Should be intresting.
This one has definately peeked my interest. Who was it saying that the 360 has no games and no exclusives in 08?? Nice to sees some 08 stuff starting to get announced.
