Erik picks his five biggest gaming disappointments of 2011. Get your pitchforks and torches at the ready!
Reviewing Alice: Madness Returns almost feels like a rite of passage for me. You see, I'm from the same town as the childhood home of Charles Dodgson, better known to you and I by his pen-name, Lewis Carroll. As such, he's a bit of a local culture icon.
I played Alice: Madness Returns for the first time last year. What an amazing game and adventure. It's a huge shame we aren't getting a sequel to it. It absolutely deserves another game.
oh yeah, I remember this game! I remember liking it, but found the platforming to be utterly obnoxious. Loved the world design.
Good review!
The Amsterdam-based studio reflects on its humble beginnings, beloved franchises, and growth through the years.
Up there with the top tier in the industry. Love Guerrilla Games - Horizon Burning Shores is simply STUNNING.
32.7M sales in the Horizon franchise! With 8.4M coming from Forbidden West alone! Truly a hugely successful game and franchise as a whole. Looking forward to Horizon III
Yooo, when I first saw that Killzone 1 footage at E3, my friends my brothers and I were like, Holy shit! When it came out, it didn't look exactly like it, but we sunk so many hours into 1 & 2.
I even liked Killzone: SF, it was a spectacle to look at, and even today it looks good. I hope they make a new one. Can you imagine how that will look, and they can get some modern FPS pointers from Bungie.
Such a wonderful studio. They deserve all their success.
The Decima Engine is absolute 🔥 I'm just mad they have abandoned Killzone.
Of course Sunset Overdrive gets a nod. It's Insomniac!
I personally think there's better on gamepass then what was listed. State of decay imo is better then anything listed. Recore seemed alright for what I played on there also.
Odd that he specified 'Game Pass Ultimate' instead of just 'Game Pass' just so he could include a relatively weak choice comparably in 'Alice: Madness Returns' which is available with EA Play. SoD was a far better overlooked game to have listed.
O no you didn't.
the legend of zelda skyward sword?!! and killzone 3....
G T F O.

He has a point with Zelda....least he had the balls to say it in a reasonable manner.
I played it and I'll be honest, it was hard for me to get past the motion control, yes it's good but the option to play with a controler would of been nice...oh and it just felt empty COMPARED to the last Zelda games. The same old "go fetch me this Link" quests in between dungeons is one of my problems, if a game like Skyrim was like that it wouldn't be getting those 9/10, 10/10 scores thats for sure.
I really enjoyed KZ3 and the Move implementation was top notch. To each his/her own.
Mad that Alice is on this list, loving the mes out of this game.
