Battlefield 3 A Success For Electronic Arts

Yeah I was saying to my mate just the other day that I missed BC2...

BF3 is good, but somehow it feels like something good has been lost from Bad Company 2... maybe because it feels like it's had a mild COD injection!

Still a good game though!

It may not have sold as many copies as MW3, but the amount of sales it did get (I can't remember the exact number, but ALOT sums it up nicely) is certainly nothing to scoff at.

Well that's expected, I mean CoD for some unknown reason (Yes I've played them through, they were good, nothing mind blowing.) has grown into an unstoppable force. It had no chance to compete, but BF3 turned out brilliantly! That's all I can ask for, it's definitely my favorite shooter of this generation for multiplayer.

BF3 sold pretty good,but DICE and EA should have never talked smack about the competition.the BF franchise has to work harder to convince gamers to choose BF over COD.

They should have focused on marketing what separates BF from COD (which is a lot) instead of what they have in common.

Like every shooter these days it just lacks intensity in my opinion.

Theres no satisfaction with shooters these days due to the fact they are low health, who ever sees who first wins games which I dont have a problem with but I think games were you get into prolonged fights and one mistake or move can decide the encounter like for example the PVP on Star Wars The Old Republic.

Never tried an MMO pvp before but the prolonged fights and decision making make it a great game, the tension is there and every fight is a challenge were as with BF3 its good spot = rewards a plenty.

Only shooter I really enjoyed this year was Red Orchestra 2 due to the fact it has an atmosphere of tension in that enemies are hard to spot and you rarely see them and when you do it makes it exciting.

With BF3 i feel like its just a race were your competing against even your own teammates to climb the leaderboard for a quick piece of satisfaction as you see yourself as number one right before the next round starts and the same process begins over.

The PVP in SWTOR counts kills as everytime your contributed towards killing an enemy which I think is a much better system.

Course no disrespect to people who enjoy what I dub "fast food gaming", just not my idea of fun.

Anyways, being the second best selling FPS released this year is still quite an accomplishment.

I liked the ending cut scenes on BF:BC2 at the end of each Rush round, now its just a simple lost or won screen :(
