Battlefield 3 A Success For Electronic Arts

It may not have broken, or even come near Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’s sales record, but Electronic Arts’ modern-military first-person shooter did make its mark.

Congrats to EA. This is my fav FPS at this time. Loving it.

GezForce4287d ago

i concur. but bad company 2 is still more fun imo.

DanSolo4287d ago

Yeah I was saying to my mate just the other day that I missed BC2...

BF3 is good, but somehow it feels like something good has been lost from Bad Company 2... maybe because it feels like it's had a mild COD injection!

Still a good game though!

MrGunny944288d ago

Same... Although my 1# is still BF2.

It may not have sold as many copies as MW3, but the amount of sales it did get (I can't remember the exact number, but ALOT sums it up nicely) is certainly nothing to scoff at.

Well that's expected, I mean CoD for some unknown reason (Yes I've played them through, they were good, nothing mind blowing.) has grown into an unstoppable force. It had no chance to compete, but BF3 turned out brilliantly! That's all I can ask for, it's definitely my favorite shooter of this generation for multiplayer.

I got to say, EA did a darn good job with marketing and hyping this game up like no other! Adding to the point that BF is a great game no doubt!

They're not looking to acquire, but are they looking to be acquired? That's the big question now with companies like EA, T2, etc.

badboyz0951d ago

EA relies way to much on their licensed ip's which isn't a good thing for a Buyer.

I really want them to finish up Cal's story so LucasFilm are free to use him in a TV show or Film if he survives in the end anyway

Cal or Ezra should be rebuilding the Jedi Temple Order...not Rey.

CrimsonWing6951d ago

Please do. These Jedi games have been exceptionally top tier.

StarkR3ality51d ago

Other than their performance but yeah

CrimsonWing6951d ago

I didn’t really run into performance issues, but I played it on PS5.

We don't want it, let someone else develop Star Wars

Tacoboto51d ago

1. Yes we do want it
2. One of the biggest recent announcements has been Star Wars Outlaws, developed by someone else.
