IGN - So, apparently, Link is dead.
I'm as surprised as anyone, as aside from some infrequent and quickly corrected Game Over screens over the years, my Link has never personally met that fate. My Link's always been brought briskly back to life – courtesy of a bottled fairy or the reset button – and he's always gone on to continue and complete his current quest.
Link should have a voice in The Legend of Zelda Movie. While he mostly stays quiet in the games, he canonically does speak but usually holds back on expressing his thoughts. In a movie format, it is better for the character and the story itself that Link speaks.
I just hope it's not a bunch MCU Snarky McJokeface dialog. Started playing veilguard free on PSN (would not recommend) and it's a perfect example of how dialog in contemporary entertainment is garbage.
Nintendo is hoping to continue working on both top-down 2D and dynamic 3D The Legend of Zelda games in the future.
A Legend of Zelda fan has been modding various aspects of Ocarina of Time into The Wind Waker over the last few years. They recently gave a big update on the project and it looks great.
So Link is dead huh?
Given the fact that the Legend of Zelda has the most complex story in a video game to date, Im not surprised.
Hell, I'd even believe that it was Tingle who took down Ganon.
zzzz
So this is just a big "What If" article eh?
What if Samus was never found by the Chozo, what if Mario never got his plumbing apprenticeship, what is Master Chief died while in cryo, what if Donkey Kong choked on a banana.
Gears of War >>> zelda. Gears defined the games industry.. Gears of War has the deepest story known to Mankind.. Nolan is going to make a gears movie next..
so with this article and the big N's timeline shouldn't the name be changed to Legend of Link?
Because Link is doing a hell of a lot more than Zelda has done. Across different plains of reality also.
