While the PS Vita will go down as a commercial failure, its prospects weren’t that bad when it was announced. Yes, smartphone gaming was getting bigger at the time, but Sony matched the price of the Nintendo 3DS with a much more powerful machine, and the PSP had been hugely successful, selling over 80 million units.
But everything changed when Monster Hunter 4 was announced as a Nintendo 3DS exclusive.
I never liked the analog sticks of the vita. Plus, people wanted more bang for their buck, cross play titles with ps4, not spinoffs

Final Fantasy X is going to be amazing on the Vita! It, along with FF IX, is my favorite in the series so I'm super pumped to have the game portable. 2012 is going to be the year of the Vita for me. So many games I'm planning on buying.
I might get Gravity Rush.
As good as I know many of the games out- and soon to be out- are, the only game I'll be playing when I get my Vita is Gravity Rush.
