SNK PLAYMORE has released a pair of classic video games onto the North & South American PlayStation Store for both PS3 and PSP.
Steph-O of TLR writes "These vintage pre-NeoGeo era arcade classics, are now PlayStation mini titles for the PSP or PS3. They are available on the PlayStation Store for $2.99. The titles were originally released in 1988 and 1989 respectively, and they play almost exactly like they would have originally in an arcade"
This week, DesertEagle, SeanNOLA, Samurage, and BlueSwim struggle to keep things classy amidst discussions of Trine 2, Rayman Origins, Forza 4, P.O.W. Prisoner of War, Prehistoric Isle, the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Heroes and Heralds pack, and a board game known as Galaxy Trucker. Beyond impressions of newer titles, we also assess some of the gems which may have been overlooked during the season’s game of the year discussions. As always, we wrap up the show with a session of game trivia and well as answers to reader mail.
I'm down with everything, 'cept Galaxy Trucker. Unless that involves space hookers. Then I'm all over it.
Drew Leachman writes: Prehistoric Isle, a new mini for the PS3 and PSP brought to us by the wonderful SNK, is actually not a bad little title to spend some time playing.
i have vivid memories for this particular SNK game. i miss the glory days of the arcade.
