Few games’ premises caught my eye as much as To The Moon‘s when it was first announced and revealed earlier this year. Here was a game where you had to dive into a dying man’s memories in order to change them so he believes his wish of going to the moon is fulfilled. The possibilities, I thought. The splendour. In a market swimming with run-of-the-mill titles, To The Moon was something of a harbinger for the independent market, or so I thought at the time. How did it really end up?
Alex DS. from Link Cable Gaming writes: "Sometimes we all need a good cry. And while a good book or touching movie can do the trick, there’s plenty of video games with emotional narratives and motifs out there that can help work through some complicated emotions or just experience a sad story."
How is metal gear solid 3 snake eater not on this list? I was sad for days with that ending.
Some games hit people hard. Which is a relief when people need to let emotions out. So settle in with these seven games.
A critically-acclaimed adventure game duo is on sale for under $5 right now. You can get To the Moon for $2.49 and its sequel Finding Paradise for $3.99.
