GamerFitNation writes: Recently, Naughty Dog developer @jmpaul tweeted out who the new leads are of the newly announced PlayStation 3 Exclusive Last of Us.
Two award-winning masterpieces, together in one incredible collection.
As expected. Unless it's going to Xbox or Switch 2, we can stop hearing about these older games now? We can move on to just news about new games?
This will be the 4th time Sony sells us The Last of Us Part 1.. And the 2nd time on the PS5.
Store says I already own it. I guess it’s just a straight twin-pack. Looks like they added 4 maps to ‘No Return’.
billibil-kun: "As The Last of Us season 2 prepares to air on HBO, we've spotted a mysterious reference to a special edition of a physical PS5 game from the franchise. Here's our take on the game, which remains unclear for now."
I hope it's both ps5 games bundled with all updates including the new no return add ons for April. I'll triple dip on that.
Pre-orders begin March 14 for the iconic new controller inspired by The Last of Us series.
I've liked the recent designs lately but this seems like a bit of a miss I would of expected a more tattered design it's to clean to really sell it as a tlou theme.
Not a big fan of the three white symbols. They fit too neatly on the controller, making the design feel too clean for the game's vibe. I think it would work better with either one large symbol or all three in different sizes, with parts cut off at the edges, like a quick, rough paint job meant to stand out rather than look polished.
Missed opportunity….they could have used the cordysceps virus strands wrapping out it. Spores, vines, anything pertaining to the actual series other than faction symbols.
From what I've seen of his work in BioShock Infinite and Batman (I had no idea he was Two-Face), this adds to my excitement for The Last of Us. Naughty Dog sure knows what they hell they're doing. Great pick for the lead imo.
I was completely convinced that Robin Atkin Downes was actually playing Joel due to his constant collaboration with Naughty Dog. Joel did, after all, sound very similar to Capelli in Resistance 3.
EDIT- I'd say Troy's career will sky-rocket next year judging by the fact that he is playing the leads of two of the biggest games in 2012.
I know Troy Baker best as Vincent in Catherine and love his work but he is LITERALLY in everything!!! Age of Conan, Batman: Arkham City, BioShock: Infinite, BloodRayne, Brothers in Arms, MW2, MW3, Catherine, Darksiders, Final Fantasy XIII / XIII-2, Guild Wars 2, Infinity Blade, Knights Contract, The Last of Us, Mafia II, Mega Man X, Ninja Gaiden III, Prototype, Quantum Theory, Red Faction: Armageddon, Red Faction: Guerilla, Resistance 2, Saints Row: The Third, Silent Hill 2 HD, Singularity, The Last Remnant, Transformers: War for Cybertron, UMVC3, WKC, World of Warcraft... Just to name some..
I want NOLAN NORTH!
.
I remember in the PS2 era, JRPGs especially, where we almost hear a Yuri Lowenthal, Steve Blum, and Crispin Freeman all the time, lol.
But this gen seems more of Nolan North.
I like Baker's work as Yuri (Tales of Vesperia) and Kanji (Persona 4), never thought he's spreading with Vincent (Catherine), Booker (Bioshock Infinite), even the controversial re-dubbed James Sunderland (Silent Hill 2).
And now this game.
I don't mind it though.
Make sure he's reprising his role as Kanji again in the extra / added scenes of English version of Persona 4 The Golden
