Microsoft Studios’ full-body motion-control device is benefiting from a great deal of support this winter. After a year on store shelves it seems that third parties are finally ready to support the device with brand new franchises and adaptations of existing ones. Alongside familiar videogame names such as Rabbids and Forza come some more commercial properties, one such title being Grease Dance from 505 Games.
Welcome to the world of slick hair, crazy dance moves and music that not only holds a beat, but brings a huge sense of nostalgia to the mix. Developed by 505 Games, Grease Dance is the latest dance title to hit consoles; however, does this title live up to the memorable performances by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John in the original film, or does it fall flat on its face like an awkward game of 70’s twister? Chris G writes: "Since the Kinect was launched, developers started crawling out of the wood work and have started making “games” for this new tech. Dancing seems to be the most obvious and prevalent of these, but unless you are into kids songs or club thumping there was not a place for the dancer inside of you to escape. Then comes Grease: The Game. Besides the obvious tie in to the movies, this game was designed for the worst dancers around."
