Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 once again set an entertainment record with 6.5 million units sold in its first 24 hours and $775 million generated in the first five days. Since the game's first day sales, we haven't gotten an official unit sales update from Activision, but we may have been given an idea by Activision's rival EA. Peter Moore, EA COO, was talking about how he still believes that Battlefield 3 managed to take share from Call of Duty, and he noted 10 million sold for Modern Warfare 3.
Seems about right. It's probably even beyond that now. I'm guessing MW3 will finish close to 20 million this year.
I asume we can see a similar version with similar sales figures next year? With sales like this why wouldn't they keep releasing it every year? Cash Cow!
Sad.
Disappointed, gaming community.
