Survey Cements Japan's Growing Acceptance Of Western Games

Gamasutra: As Western titles gain momentum in Japan, gamers there have voted Uncharted: Golden Abyss at their most anticipated game for PS Vita, according to an online survey recently conducted by Famitsu.

While Uncharted: Golden Abyss is the only Western-developed title in the top 20 results of the poll, which asked participants to select the PS Vita games they intend to buy (multiple entries allowed), its presence at the top appears to be part of an emerging trend for gamers in Japan.

If only America would become more accepting of Japanese games on a wider scale, like we were back in the PS1 era.

America was accepting of japanese games before the xbox.. because there were no alternatives.

The moment the west made a competent console, it was over. Japanese game companies simply do not wish to innovate or adapt, except for rare exceptions.

It is what, 2012, and the Japanese still do not grasp the concept of multiplayer? Or open environments?
