How Square Enix Can Win Their Fans Back: Final Fantasy Edition

Trendy Gamers: In the last few years many people have grown quite skeptical of the beloved video game developer Square-Enix. A company that used to be able to do no wrong in fans’ eyes now has a stigma attached to its name. The mixed views of Final Fantasy XIII and the almost universal distaste of Final Fantasy XIV have left many wondering if this might even be the beginning of the end for the company with such a rich history. We do not think that Square Enix has lost its way entirely and we believe that it has the power to put itself back on track. Here are my ideas to help them with the Final Fantasy series.

Agree with all 5 points but im skeptical about remaking FFVII on one hand i want them to remake it but on the other hand i can't but feel they will somehow mess it up.

Yup they would man...just leave it alone and move on to other games...they have lost their edge...they forget that when you make a good product you don't have to worry about money. It really is that simple.

They dont need to remake FFVII at all.
Just make a completely new final fantasy that is as good as FFVII and i think people will be more happy with that than just a remake.

I agree that there doesn't need to be a FF7 remake. That's just a waste of time, as was the time spent on spinoffs and sequels of the game. I loved Crisis Core, though. The point where they started doing sequels is the point they started losing their fanbase.

I agree with the point to bring back the overworld. There's no reason why Ni no Kuni had to be the first AAA game to showcase it this generation of consoles. Square enix keeps trying too hard to revolutionize the genre that they lose touch with what made them good.

It's weird because the folks in their own Dragon Quest team know this well. 10+ Dragon quest titles of small adjustments, and the series only gets more popular.

XIII-2 gives me a lot of hope they are listening fans a little more than they were before. I hope they continue to listen all our feedbacks and pleas for Final Fantasy XV and BRING BACK THE OVERWORLD MAP.

They can win their fans back by doing what they did last gen and that is release good game after good game...they got money hungry and starting re releasing and remaking old titles they seem to have lost the ability to come up with new fresh ideas and try to mislead us with crap...no no no and you would think that they would learn their lesson by now. Who ever is in charge in my opinion is completely incompetent and needs to resign....Ever wonder why staff are leaving Square man??? Come on pay attention.

Aside from all the FFs being rather terrible for a Final Fantasy game after FFX whatsoever happened to Kingdom hearts 3 ? Dont tell me that Kingdom Hearts 3DS is the great sequel weve been waiting for ... Hurry up and make those sequels and get cracking on NEW ideas with NEW characters that we'll come to Love and Cherish !

Yeah, it would be nice to have Kingdom Hearts 3 but the 3DS version seems like it'll be good.

1) Actually freaking release Final Fantasy Versus 13

2) Chrono Trigger/Cross sequel/spinoff that's good.

3) Final Fantasy VI or VII Remake.

No, I'd want them to put a lot of time and effort into their games to make them amazing. BUT constantly switching to other games and ignoring one of their projects(FFV13) is definitely something thats holding them back. They needed to stop switching to another game everytime it looks like they're about to work on FFV13.

They have multiple teams working on games so even if a game takes 2 to 3 years to complete, they can still release a steady stream of games.

FFVII to FFX were released within a 5 year period. Those days may be over due to the dev time of games today but it shoudln't take 4 to 6 years for a game.
