Pocket Gamer: It’s often difficult to decide which is worse – movie adaptations of popular video games, or video game conversions of Hollywood movies. What’s certain is that neither has a reputation for being groundbreaking.
Fast Five won’t change any opinions. Despite a couple of features that attempt to freshen an otherwise stale racer, it's exactly what we've all come to expect from a game with the same name as a film.
With the ninth movie entry in the long-running Fast Saga on everyone's mind (and starring my man Vin Diesel, among others), it's a good time to revisit the history of Fast & Furious video games.
I'm looking at the tags for this article and almost wanna report it for tag spam haha
I really wish they would release a DECENT Fast and the Furious game for consoles. It seems like a natural fit and instant brand awareness. The latest one looks like a train wreck. With all of the F and F money, you'd think they would invest a little of it into a real game.
I really wish Driver 1-3 could get remaster/reboot… those games kick the shit out of this fast and furious trash
Not a one was good. I rather they make Underground 3 since NFS Underground was based off of Fast and the Furious 1
Fast and the Furious Crossroads was Crap.
I was surprised when I heard that a new Fast & Furious movie was being released. I was even more surprised to find that I actually really enjoyed it! The story, action and characters were all fantastic, and overall the movie was much better than previous instalments in the series. Coinciding with the film, Gameloft have released Fast 5 – The Game for Android and iOS. But is it as entertaining as past titles, or has the series simply run out of fuel?
the movie was boring. nothing fast or furious about it. Bet the games just as bad.
Videogamer - Considering The Fast and the Furious is a movie series built around high speed driving, it's a little surprising that there haven't been all that many games. Less surprising is those that have hit stores have been rather naff. This iOS release, tied in with the fifth movie of the same name, goes some way to addressing the series' lacklustre video game performance, but smart presentation and gimmicks cover a rather brief experience.
