The people at activision are all about numbers and big numbers at that so they will be very happy to know that COD elite is not only big its the fastest growing subscription service ever. In large part thanks to Modern Warfare 3. And it didn't even work at launch!

Agent Smith3146d ago

At launch? It barely works now!

While this service is a dedicated paid service for a game/franchise. It does not seem right to try and relate it to multi-use services like live, netflix and the like.

The correct correlation would be WOW as that too is a paid service for a single game franchise.

The comparatives just seem out of context.

Please move to the moon then. Hopefully you'll be happy there and we won't have to deal with your melodrama

run little

Brodychet: "Everyone is so damn negative towards these cod games. If you don't like it, don't buy it. And if you dont buy it, why comment on it? The game is fun, and i think that's what humans like."

Sucks you won't be able to respond to this, so send me a pm if you choose to.

ME: You're not looking at the big picture. COD is insanely popular and Activision reeps the cash flow. Other devs/publishers eventually want that slice-of-pie. Many devs has "died" because they couldn't compete with COD. Now every game under the sun(over exaggeration) thrusts a gun into an army dudes hands. FPS dominate.

Its like the Live-action garbage on Cartoon Network. Nick and Disney are cashflowing so they ride the bandwaggon.

Its like the music industry. After Black Eyed Peas(The E.N.D.), everyone is pullin out auto this, and empty pop music eletronica fluff(mindyou, i enjoy those genres). Most songs nowadays don't even have any meaning to it...

So its not that we simply choose to ignore. This stuff is a parasite. Latches and won't let go.

It barely work at launch because ...too many people signed up.

Imagine that!

That said, it works perfectly for me and has been for a while now.

theonlylolking3146d ago (Edited 3146d ago )

I like elite but I am not going elite pro or whatever it is called until I see enough DLC that I want.

How is this sheeple? Elite is a free service.

It could be a lot worse. They could have an online pass too lol

Are video games really that important to you? Maybe you need a new hobby.

OT, I really don't see the big deal. The premium subscription is 100% optional. This isn't setting back the industry, rather helping it's continued growth. People just don't realize how important Activision is to gaming. They're a multi billion dollar company with over 5000 employees. COD and WOW have taken social gaming to a new level. People should be thanking them instead of crying about how people spend their money. You don't like the game, dlc or subscription, than don't buy it. But to say it's hurting gaming is only a lie.

SKUD3146d ago

I completely disagree on activision being important to gaming. If it wasn't for blizzard saving them from financial ruin. IW would still exsist.

SnakeCQC3146d ago

fools activision owns you now

brodychet3146d ago

shame on me for getting all these map packs which i most likely wouldve paid for anyways, and tons of other stuff. I'm such a fool.

SnakeCQC3146d ago

50 quid for an annual subscription they plan on supporting it for 2 years so you will have renew next year to get the next set of overpriced shitty map packs

dgonza403146d ago

paying $15 for map packs is ridiculous to begin with.
