Addict of Fiction looks at some quotes from a recent conference and various predictions:
"Next, Star Wars will be the last paid subscription game? That’s a little difficult, but I don’t think it’s right. Gamers, as a whole tend to try and only have one monthly subscription game from what I’ve heard. And dragging a gamer from one game that they’re pretty much married to is difficult, but Star Wars is doing just that"
EA is nearing an agreement to move the ongoing development and operation of MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic from BioWare to third-party studio Broadsword Online Games, IGN has learned. The move is intended to allow BioWare to focus on Mass Effect and Dragon Age.
A new update for Star Wars: The Old Republic is coming out on PC and the patch notes provide us with an in-depth look at all the new changes.
I loved this game and have played since launch but don't let this article fool you, this game is a step above life support. While they are still technically updating the game, the updates are few and far between and there is a significant lack of quality control, so many little bugs that have been present for years.
SWTOR players, get ready for a new month of exciting in-game events! Here's what's coming up in January 2023.
It's hard to say at this point I'd say. I know WoW is losing lots of players left and right but not so much because of the subscription fees but rather I think people are just growing tired of it at this point and are moving elsewhere to other MMO's. SWTOR will be interesting to see how it does. It is nearing 1 million retail preorders and who knows how many digital but I'll be checking that one out for sure.
not a chance, wow lost customers but they still have 10 million subs with another mmo in development... I do think consoles will die eventually, because we wont need them. That being said about consoles, we arent at the point where they are useless yet.
quit making articles on the same topic based off of some random guy on the internet's quote.
time will tell and nothing else. not pachter, not some guy from "gamesbrief"
i hate game journalism and all its obvious struggles and attempts at garnering hits to their shit websites. it has to be the most amateur ridden, fanboy infested field i've ever seen.
I got invited to the beta for this but my internet died so when i chekced the mail it was one day late :(
