WWE ’12 Review (XBOX 360 / PS3) - Ringside Gaming

Ringside Gaming writes: "I’ve spent way too much time trying to figure out how to open my review of WWE ’12. I’ve probably spent more hours thinking about the opening then actually typing the damn thing. If any of you have ever watched “24” then you’ve heard Jack Bauer say “Dammit” quite a few times, and that’s exactly my thought when trying to start this review. I’m sorry to say that is also my sentiment quite a few times while playing this game. Don’t think for a second though that this is a negative review. This is an honest review. I have no reason to go ahead kissing ass and saying this game is perfect, its not, but its still pretty damn good. In fact, We were promised this being the best WWE game yet but the question remains, did they finally deliver?"

Are Wrestling Games Getting Worse?

Some of you may know that the latest instalment in the WWE gaming franchise 2K20 was released late last year to generally poor reviews. Some of this was based on graphical issues, but mostly it was due to the many glitches and bugs found – many of which are hilarious to witness.

Fire Pro needs more love. The last PS4 title gets regular playtime from me.

I hear that there are financial troubles at the studio, but I'm hopeful for a Switch port one of these days.

Fire Pro just gets better. Buy it.

I have Fire Pro for PS4 and PC but it seems more of like a Sim creator rather than people actually playing out matches. I still dont like anything as much as the N64 games

Golden Era of wrestling games in the Golden Era of wrestling. I've been contemplating going back and getting a N64 and getting those classic's
WWF Wrestlemania 2000
WWF No Mercy
WCW vs. nWo Revenge

TheTony3161930d ago

addictedtochaos1930d ago

Yes, the WWE ones at least. The last good one was 2K14 and the last great one was Here Comes the Pain.

6 Abominations Brought to Life by These Games' Character Creators

If Dr Frankenstein were alive today and also not fictional, he wouldn't need to faff around building a creature out of dead bodies then trudge around the Arctic trying to kill it - not when these videogame character creators exist. Just look at the unnatural horrors he could have cooked up in WWE '12, Spore, Saints Row 4, Soul Calibur 5, NBA 2K15 and The Sims 4.

Good comparison, they've got worse with age.

Many of the old animations look better than the new ones especially the Sweet Chin Music and Goldberg's spear. The 2K14 Clothesline from Hell looks awesome though.
