Dizzy: Prince of the Yolkfolk Set to Hit iOS & Android

One of the most fondly remembered games characters from the 8-bit era is set for a high-definition (HD) makeover. Codemasters announced today that Dizzy, the eponymous egg-shaped have-a-go hero is returning to game screens in Dizzy: Prince of the Yolkfolk, a special edition of the 1991 adventure for iPad, iPhone and Android devices.

Oh I love Dizzy. Never got around to completing any of them on Amiga as a kid, but a few weeks ago I finally got to the end Prince of the Yolkfolk using WinUAE emulator (and save states).

Cheers for the approval. I would certainly recommend checking out the android/ios poty game.

You'd probably find all the puzzles really easy considering you just played an emulated version but the graphics are top knotch. Plus they also included the ability to save your progress in that too!

They should do like Sega did with the classics and release them as a bundle on PSN/XBLA :)

That'd be nice, I think they were probably testing the water with the new app version of Prince of the Yolkfolk.

But the fact that nothing new has been said since it was released suggests to me that they're not doing anymore at least at the moment.
