Games Radar Staff: As this console generation is reaching old age, it may be hard for some to realize that the current systems’ predecessors launched exactly a decade ago. We already celebrated the Xbox's games, and just a few days after it launched came Nintendo’s entry in the race, the GameCube. It may have had a bumpy ride, but the cute, purple lunchbox had a great run, which is evidenced by this impressive list of its best game.
This list has appeared once before, but some things have changed since that time, so let’s say it’s been slightly recalibrated. Also, this group sticks mainly to GameCube exclusives, so great multiplatform titles of the day, like Beyond Good & Evil and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, are noticeably absent. Lastly, apologies to Luigi fans for the lack of Luigi’s Mansion on the list. How about we say it’s the unofficial 26th entry?
Killer 7 really deserved a spot there.
Skies of Arcadia!!!!
that screenshot of eternal darkness is wild.
My best:
1) Super Mario Sunshine
2) Luigi's Mansion
3) Star Wars Rogue Squadron II
4) Star Fox Adventures
5) Sonic Adventure 2: Battle
6) Eternal Darkness
7) Metroid Prime
8) Super Smash Bros Melee
9) Super Mario Kart: Double Dash
10) Resident Evil
11) Resident Evil 0
12) Resident Evil 4
13) Time Splitters 2
14) 007 Nightfire
15) The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker
16) Sonic Heroes
17) Spider-Man 2
I own this entire list, and they are all entirely deserving... Save for Smugglers Run (which is a very good game, just not top 25 good) Baten Kaitos should have had that spot.
