I don't want to create a character, that makes for a lesser story most of the time. And just because C.J may be in it, doesn't mean he will be the star character. He could be an NPC, who knows. As for this article, it's very untrustworthy, IMDB is never accurate for even movies themselves this far in advance. It's filled with rumors and speculation all the time.

Yeah, IMDB is updated by volunteers who have registered at the site. They aren't "industry insiders" or anything of that sort. Nothing to see here, yet.

Edit: and as for creating your own character; no thanks. That's not an evolution of the game that's lateral movement. I play GTA just as much for the story as I do for the mayhem. The problem with GTAIV, for me, wasn't the story; it was that it was trying to be so technically ambitious, at the detriment to all the things last generation GTAs did so well, like, ummm, fun.

I agree with Bounkass -I want to create my own character but being that rumors has it that the main charater already has a voice actor that means that you will play as the guy that R* wants you to play.

I hated how Nikko Balic looked and his voice annoyed me.

I want 100% freedom in mt sand box game and not told how to look or that I can not go into a certain area until I progress with the story.

I like to create my own character as much as the next guy but like BiggCMan said games where you create your own character tend to have a less compelling story.

If you want complete character customization go for SR3.
GTA has always been about focus on the protagonists looks and style and personality and everything and it would be a huge mistake and step backwards if rockstar changed that.

Games which have "create a character" feature generally have a protagonist who does not speak the entire game (Saints Row), as well as a less involved story since there is no real character to develop.

This is boring and does not follow suit in what Rockstar generally does. They are all about the story and narrative.

GTA has a deep story to it that needs a permanent character (although GTAIV blew it).

I love how Rockstar chooses actors that's not too famous to voice the main character. Only Vice City had someone famous (Ray Liotta) voicing the main character while San Andreas and IV and Red Dead Redemption had less known actors. And I can't wait to hear more of Ned Luke's performance...

Young Maylay did a good job as CJ. On his Wikipedia page hes listed as the main character for GTA V. So maybe we really are lookin at different main characters.
