Nostalgia is a big part of the gaming industry and gamers themselves, as people always tend to talk about the good old days and those games they played for hours and hours as a child. Now, 14 years after the original released, Activision has given us GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, with the big question being, how far can nostalgia take this game? - PSLS
GoldenEye 007: Reloaded proves that is nothing is broken, don't try to fix it. A disappointing remake that failed to live up to the original.
While Goldeneye reloaded didn't have the same magic as the original n64 version, I enjoyed it. I liked how the entire game could be played with motion controls if you had the Wii or the PS3 version.
"There is nothing the video game industry loves more than a good trend. “Hey, that game with the bald, gruff space marine sold really well, we need that in our game!” or, “people are all talking about that cover system, can you make it more like that?” It’s an unfortunate reality of any big entertainment industry, if something sells or seems popular, every game is clamoring to make sure they have it too. -- PlayStation Enthusiast
Some of my favorite games are held up so high to me are because of Split Screen alone, it is more fun than online with a friend imo
Local co-op wins every time. weather its split screen or not. either playing something like fifa or rocket league with friends or recently i got my girlfriend into diablo 3, we started it together its was fantastic and couldn't have imagined playing it any other way.
Yami from Twinfinite writes: "Anyway, in this Gaming Happens, I’m depreciating FPS games. Really breaking them down; telling you everything I took away from some of the most popular games in the genre. Join me."
She seems like a cool chick to hang out with and maybe get benefits on the side. But I prolly would keep it on the DL from my buddies.
Edit: Gentlemen never tell.
Really guys, really?
Anyway, while I'd argue that there are some FPS games that deserve a bit more recognition here, she's pretty spot-on with the overall feel of FPSs.
lol my comment wasn't immature, it was fact. Although i probably shouldn't have shared that here, that was unkind. But fellatio skills are not something to be ashamed of, not in the slightest!
man, that's disappointing. I'll probably pick it up eventually just for nostalgia. I said the same thing about the last Bond game though, and still haven't picked it up. ;-)
Hmm, might be a rental then. I really want to feel nostalgic dammit!
I like it...I bought it over COD:MW3, so most would call me mentally retarded I'm sure, but there is no way in hell that MW3 deserves a 9 or 10, if this game is only a 5, so I would expect that this site only gave MW3 a 6 or 7 at best in comparison.
For this game is running on the same engine, runs at 60fps like COD, runs in 1080p, & has sharp responsive, fun gameplay that I have been enjoying thoroughly. I just hope enough people ignore these crappy reviews, & get it for the multiplayer, as this is where the game shines most & it is the main area that Eurocom were trying to replicate from the N64 version.
You have to go into this game, as you would going into any other "modern" shooter released under the Activision banner, it is made with the typical COD method of online multiplayer precedence over campaign.
The game is basically MW online with the bond theme. And if you read some of the better reviews, they highlight the fact that this games strength is the online, & that the online is great....so go into it expecting a similar Goldeneye N64 single player experience, & you may be dissapointed..........But, if you wanna play your mates in either 4 player split screen, or online, taking each other out with favorites like Jaws, Oddjob, etc, etc, then give the game a try, as I think you be pleasantly surprised & hold some of these so-called reviewers in disdain as much as I.
Is this version any better than the Wii version, or would we be better off getting it on Wii?
Interesting... I think I'll still be getting this though
