Limbo's success has given Playdead back its complete independence

As great as it is to hear of a very successful studio developing it's next creative product, I can't help but worry of their future, given the economic climate. Not to say it's as bad as 2009-2010, but there's still much uncertainity in the world.

According to reports, it claims the gaming market is actually suppose to grow by over 10%. If true, I guess it's the right time to make their move.

But yeah, given how things are shaping up.. Hmm..

Well, as long as they make keep making creative and amazing games I wouldn't worry about sales (as long as the economy doesn't get worse), games will still be able to sell relatively well as long as they are of excellent quality.

Playdead co-founder slammed with lawsuit as bitter row with co-founder escalates

Playdead co-founder Dino Patti is allegedly being sued by his former studio and business partner.
Patti was threatened with a lawsuit earlier this year after he posted a now-deleted LinkedIn post that shared an "unauthorized" picture of co-founder Arnt Jensen and discussed some of Limbo's development. Patti said Jensen demanded a little over $73,000 in "suitable compensation and reimbursement," adding that he had "repeatedly" had such letters over the last nine years.
