In Battlefield 3 you have to kill a rat. And this is why PETA, worlds famous animal rights organization, is now criticising the shooter.
Rolland rat wouldnt be happy. Tut tut tut
Its okay to kill human after human in a vast manner of different ways- knives, rockets, guns, squash them with tanks, set them on fire but heavens no- killing a rat? That is just plain disgusting.
Oh it's okay... PETA doesn't care about people. http://www.southparkstudios...
Dam flea carrying rats caused the Bubonic plague way way back in the day that killed millions of HUMANS so killing rats is a NON ISSUE. Rats are not a part of NORMAL Human food consumption or our food chain. We don't use rats to make coats out of. The best uses for rats would be scientific testing and getting killed in video games. I bet you the PETA rep made the announcement while wearing some new leather shoes.
Hahaha, far out. Hippies get upset over anything these days.
Wait till they see exploding dogs in mw3.
They would pass out.
ahh shit theres dogs in MW3 ? :( I hate that kill streak the dogs are over powered D;
They have explosives attached to them now ;)
oh people like to complain about video games, I think they forget that it's not real..
that virtual rat suffered. he should have been given more humane treatment.
RIP that rat D: ... on a side note : did they brag about Red dead redemption's that gives u the ability to kill many animals from snakes to buffalos ?
You guys forget that millions of gamers killed the rat on the section in bf3 GUYS that means that MILLIONS OF RATS DIED in BF3!!!!! inavideogamethatdoesntreprese nttherealitybutwedonttalkabout t hoselittledetails... cough.. coughh...
PETA wonders why no one takes them seriously at times.
A disease-ridden digital rat gets stabbed in the head for being an ass, and PETA seriously thinks we'll sympathize with them? It was the digital rat, or his digital ass in that scenario. I'd feel far better saving a digital ass any day of the week.
yep...kill a digital rat, to keep moving in a digital Iran, to continue avoiding capture by a digital PLR...and to continue fighting digital terrorism...bfd... if PETA would have complained that the rat had an uncanny ability to single you out from 500 meters away through smoke, low visibility, and during complete chaos...I think more people would listen to them...
I simply think PETA could be using their time/energy/resources better than attacking digital representation of violence against animals. It leads me to believe the organization really isn't needed due an apparent lack of real-world representations of violence against animals.
Wait until they find out there are dogs in GTA:V...
well they did bitch endlessly about the attack dogs in Chernobyl for CoD4 iirc...as you had to either shoot the dogs, or have your throat ripped out in the streets by one... whatever though, at the time it was completely awesome and unexpected...
But that's the thing: It was killed or be killed. If GTA:V is anything like the GTA's we know [and love], it'll only be a matter of time before we see video on youtube of people running over dogs en-mass for the lulz D:
You would think that PETA, of all groups, would consider "like a slaughterhouse" a competely inappropriate analogy. Are slaughterhouses also tons of fun, and a great way to enjoy spend time with friends? It's kinda like if MADD came out and said "having your kid play BF3 is like letting them drive drunk" To them, a comparison so close to their cause should seem completely disgusting. It implies they consider stopping people from playing violent games to be as important to their intial cause (saving animals from inhumane treatment)
PETA sees nothing wrong with killing people in a video game, yet you kill a rodent and then its evil?
Why should they comment on killing people in a video game. They represent animal rights and protection. Red Cross should be bothered about killing ppl in a video game
True, it just seems ironic though.
welp, we better not let PETA see skyrim than....
...ooh they'd probably love the fact you can play as a 'cat' race.
...who can kill cats, wolves, lizards, dragons, deer, rats, crabs, etc.
it was only one dirty rat, and it almost got the main character killed.
what happens if you fack up the QTE?...in everything else its a death...does the rat kill you?...I didn't try...
The rat keeps you from moving on, a soldier walks over the gap, sees you, and then opens up before you can react. You do give the rat the finger before you die, though. http://www.youtube.com/watc...
The PETA organization is the true definition of contradiction.
HAHA, very nice. Made my day xD
Did PETA play RDR?
PETA is lame.
man i wonder what they thought of Snake eater.. i was killing snakes and rats the whole time... lol
I kill fly, PETA kill me.
I am part of PETA PETA=People Eating Tasty Animals
HAHAHA a rat?? those people think animals are humans
Nah PETA value animals more then humans....
retarded ass people
PETA should be mad at everybody including their own because whenever anybody sees a rat especially at their home, they're going for the kill. What they should do against this is to do another nude campaign using models in support of protecting rats.
Animal meat is so tasty.....
PETA if you try to mess with GTA V I will send a pack of wolves to eat you
DAMMIT INTERNET POSTED TWICE. Can someone delete this comment?
They're upset over one dead rat? The early levels of RPGs must be like a documentary on a genocide for these guys.
In response to this uproar from PETA I will now play Metal Gear: Solid for the PS1 and shoot as many rats AND ravens as I can.
No godawful german articles please
one rat....killed....slaugtherhous e Jeezz... What about the millionss of rats and rabbits killed in RPGs and MMos? What about the millions of people died during the Black Plague?
Check out Penn and Teller's Bullshit episode on PETA to find out all you need to know.
oh no! last week I found out a mouse was in house and got rid of it by placing a nice mouse trap. But according to peta I should have made it my pet and showed it some love.
