Modern Warfare 3 for the Wii isn't getting nearly as much attention as the other versions. Does it still matter? Yep, and Gamerlive.tv explains why.
To be terribly honest, I'm not crazy about any FPS on the Wii anymore. Just seems to be gimmick-y.
yes, it is relevant. The Wii has a HUGE casual audience. I'm surprised this is the first COD game to get released simultaneously on all platforms. Expect MW3 to sell well this Holiday season.
Technically, Black Ops got released simultaneously on all platforms last year. And it did pretty well.
Last year Black Ops released simultaneously on all 3 consoles, and in 2008 so did World At War and in 2006 CoD 3 was a launch title for PS3 and Wii which were only a couple of weeks behind the Xbox 360 and PC versions. But what I think you meant to say was this is the first of the Modern Warfare games to get simultaneously released on all 3 consoles. ;)
I'd rent MW3 at best, let alone buy it to play on a Wii.
Not trolling but people who own Wii's barely buy any third party games for it. The amount of units sold compared to first party games is staggering. Not sure why anyone bothers
But with lack of first party titles for the wii..and any new games ingeneral..mw3 may see a much higher sale margin then the last titles.
Fps games on the Wii as of late is a niche market, not that nintendo mind with the Wii U due
Holy crap there's a wii version!
Is there any multiplayer on the Wii version?
Pffft! NO! Unless you only have a Wii, but I think most gamers would have at least one HD consoles. Casuals wont know any better.
this is N4PS3G who gives a crap about nintendo or wii.
I own a 360, PS3, and a Wii, and play CoD on my Wii 99% of the time. Why, because of the controls. Point and shoot is MUCH more accurate than dual analog. The Wii does have some features left out but they are not game breaking. Before any nubs say I should try CoD on an HD console, I have [email protected] on PS3 as well as MW2 on 360. Each system has its strengths and weaknesses. For Wii, FPS games are better from a control point of view. @ [email protected] and Black Ops both launched with the HD versions. [email protected] and Modern Warfare Reflex have sold over a million each, not sure of BO @ xXtremeHDGamerXx- Your name explains your ignorance of the Wii version. @ maniacmayhem- You are a complete idiot! @ coojo- it's N4PS360G...you were close
Technically you're right, point and shoot is more accurate than analog sticks. But, you have to take into consideration turning your player. The fact that you need to point at the deadzone/off-the-screen in order to turn removes the ability to really point and shoot while you're turning. If somebody is in the deadzone for turning, yes, it makes sense to point at the target and follow him while you're shooting. But if the character is off-screen it becomes a horrible mess of impossible to control garbage. FPS games with the Wiimote or PSMove are only more accurate than an analog stick if the screen doesn't need to turn: such as on-rail games, or if you wanna lay down and camp online.
The Wii remote is basically a laser pointer, which translates to amazing accuracy for fp/3rdps games. @Axecution They're options to customize your turn speed, so that isn't an issue.
If I only had a Wii I just wouldn't buy it.
I hate COD, but there was a Wii version that outsold the PS3 game. I think it was World at War.
