MP1st - "The 'callsign' became a very popular idea when it was introduced into the Call of Duty series with Modern Warfare 2."
I hope it's not console specific 'cause I played WaW and CoD 4 mainly on the PS3 and the others on the 360.
Good question, but I'm not sure if it's the case. EA does the whole Origin Account thing and saves all info from all platforms there but I'm not sure if Activision has the same type of thing.
I played MW2 and Blops on both systems. Think I prestiged once on both PS3/360 for both games. After buying Blops on PS3 day 1 I think I'm going to get MW3 for 360 this time around though. PS3 version was a disaster to say the least. Frame drops everywhere not to mention the constant disconnects. Played the 360 version at a friends and it was night and day. 360 version was smooth all around + the early DLC which depending on whether or not I like the game I may buy is a bonus.
MW3 will be fine on the PS3. Just like cod4 & mw2. Bops is the only cod game that doesn't run as stellar on the PS3 as it does on the 360. Constant disconnects? Happens with every cod game on both platforms.
@above yeah but even MW2 looked/ran a bit better on 360.
I just seen a video on youtube about this seems ok but not enough to warrant a purchase.
I see where you're coming from. I feel they are rehashing a lot of assets from MW2.
I think they said MW3 ships with 16 MP maps though. This was in the 1hr gamespot playthrough they said this in.
16 maps or not, I can't find any good reasons to buy this. I'm not just bashing CoD though, the only games I'm getting this year are SR3, MGS Peace Walker HD, and Tekken Hybrid. Sick of these modern-day military shooters to be honest.
Get some friends, have a blast with CoD. Have no friends? Cod will be frustrating for you. Simple as. The only reason I love CoD, is because most of my friends who are CASUAL gamers, buy this game EVERY year. And thank god they do, because we have such a blast together! Those Saturday nights where you come back home at 2AM and just stick in CoD, priceless.
can not wait to play spec ops, that was the funnest part of mw2, me and my bro are going to have a great time, i had black ops but i traded it for a blue ps3 controller just for co op.
If your sick of military fps. Nothing is going to change that in that genre. Right! But if you play a mix of genres, at least for me....I can easily get back into it. For me it's mw3, unch3 & either a racer or fighter. I just finished a 95hr dark souls and I'm not touching a rpg for a while. That games gameplay is so good, I'm seriously afraid skyrim will be too simple for me. I'm talking about gameplay not exploration or atmosphere.
B$, i have prestige 15 in bops and i havn't got any extra emblem. Played MW3 for total fo 20 hours since yest and already at 39 rank. The stats look like from some wii title and so basic that there is not even the nemesis stat. They basically gimped it so much that for anything extra you need to sign up to ELITE. It's bloody 39 pounds. I was stupid to pay 100$ for this game for getting it 4 days prior to launch it's same cod4/mw/mw2/bops/waw but with just some new skins and prob cod1 style stats.
COD4 - sadly i did not get to play the game when it was at its prime, now i hear is all hacked up WaW - Prestige twice and the i ended up in a room where i got to 10 prestige in matter of seconds and i stopped playing the game since that day. MW2 - prestige once and am very happy with that no real reason to prestige more now with MW3 around the corner BO - I will buy someday when it drops price to $30 or less just like i did with WaW and MW2. I will prestige just once there also nothing really important that makes you want to prestige.
when you prestige in mw3 you get prestige points witch are used to buy things in the prestige shop so its kinda worth it now
Anyone who makes this a deal breaker sure dont like games. :))))))))) Tho I wish it had Halo Reach ranks! MOARRRRRRRR
