You mean origin spying your data?

Also folks you still have to buy the game, its not a Multiplayer crack. Its just an .exe that disables origin.

Iroquois_Pliskin4924d ago

cmon EA, just open up Origin. Stop with that spyware shit, and let BF3 come to steam!

da_2pacalypse4924d ago

I refuse to download origin. My loyalties are with Gabe :)

HardCover4924d ago

Lol people have already done some tests to see how much Origin really looks at your data.

It's actually completely typical, go ****in' figure, right?

Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho......off to private servers I go.....Cause Origins sucks with no Lan support and i hate EA!

Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho.......this is exactly what i've been waiting fo'........Conquest maps with 128 players, hip hip hooray!

*P.S. i have bought 2 copies of BF3...one to play online and just bought a second copy for $29 to play on private servers*

Pandamobile4924d ago

You can play on private servers with a normal account. Unranked servers can set whatever rules they want.

ATi_Elite4924d ago

yeh but you still gotta use Origins for unranked servers blah blah blah! Also no ranked or unranked server was doing 128 as EA wouldn't let them. Bypass Origin and now Jackpot 128 maps.

I'm happy to be able to Delete Origin from my PC now cause i don't like it and i have had a some issues with it along with potentially seeing mass adware running through it. minor issues but issues none the less.

My whole point is now i don't have to screw with Origins no matter how i play. I paid for the Game not Origin.

Pandamobile4924d ago

EA wouldn't let them cus all the servers in the beta were forced to be Ranked.

And stop bitching about Origin, Jesus Christ, it's not the end of the damn world that you have to launch BF3 through a separate application.

ATi_Elite4921d ago (Edited 4921d ago )

I use Steam and that's good enough to launch my games from.

and yeh I'm gonna complain about Origin cause i don't like it. So you can go ahead and keep using it cause i won't and next year when:

Activision, Steam, Origin, Battle.net, Ubisoft, Rockstar, Bethesda, etc all have their own clients to launch games you just remember your own words!

1 or 2 is enough i don't need or care for anymore clients.

TheGameFoxJTV4922d ago

@Pandamobile Do you have the PC version, if not, you have no say in what we can bitch about since you don't know where we are coming from. Thank you.

Pandamobile4921d ago

Of course I have the PC version.

Saryk4924d ago

I have said this before. IF you piss off people, they will get back at you, if they can. This is retaliation for Origin’s spyware and (possibly) the lack of LAN.

Heartnet4924d ago

No its really not.. its just cause they can and some people are really pissy about using an aplication to launch a game lol..

They could have gotton it on console also so its there fault and so they have to deal with origin!

And u say spyware like its typical spyware... they only gather some information (dunno if they even do just some randomers word for it tbh) for marketing... real spyware uses it to mess with you etc... thats the difference im afraid :) Heck even n4g uses spyware in this case as the adverts it posts up have been researched by what websites youve been on etc...

3GenGames4924d ago

"real spyware uses it to mess with you etc" Spyware is spyware because it infects your computer and logs your keystrokes and different types of data collection and reports it to somewhere without you knowing. A virus messes with your computer, deletes windows and programs and also pops up with annoying advertisments sometimes.

Origin is Spyware. IE is too. A lot of programs from big companies are too.

StayStatic4924d ago (Edited 4924d ago )

They should just ditch DRM tbh , players using legit accounts with a DRM bypass just says it all.

I don't have a problem with Battlelog , i really like it in fact , more so when they fix the bugs , but please ditch Origin EA :P

yes was waiting for this.

Sadly just if you subscribe to Luna it appears. I hooked my EA account into it, which has Jedi Survivor, and it doesn't show in my Library. They don't show as a source either, so just a heads up to not let your purchasing decision be swayed as to where you pick the titles up if a bonus streaming option held any interest.
