René Koiter (Twincruiser) of the Sons of the Storm, an elite group of Blizzard Entertainment artists, posted a photo of himself disguised as Jim Raynor, the main protagonist of the StarCraft RTS game.
He has made public appearances disguised as Jim Raynor at BlizzCon 2010 and 2011. This time around he posted a photo of his disguise with the StarCraft Logo and the Legendary Pictures Logo.
There's no doubt this was meant as a Halloween joke. However, I remind you the Pandaren race was an April's Fool joke in Warcraft III, and out of the blue the Pandaren is a playable race in the World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria upcoming expansion.
Legendary Pictures is currently holding the rights for the World of Warcraft film adaptation with director Sam Raimi.
Speculation-mode on. Could it be possible this joke could have some hint elements for a StarCraft film adaptation?
Would you love to see StarCraft on the big screen?
Leading domestic game companies have entered into an unprecedented competition to win orders for Starcraft, Blizzard's representative IP (intellectual property).
Weird MS is letting go of a good IP. I don’t mind it but hopefully the best dev wins and I’m not sure who that is outbid those.
I wonder if we'll see Starcraft Ghost come out of this. And if we do, I wonder if it'll be a free-to-play gacha game.
This week, Blizzard Entertainment dropped both 'StarCraft: Remastered' and 'StarCraft II Campaign Collection' into PC Game Pass.
Hopefully these get released on Switch and Playstation, along with Age of Empires. There’s a severe lack of good RTS games on both those platforms.
Happy spooky season to those who celebrate! We have a collection of scary games for you to enjoy with Game Pass, while hiding under the blankets (or maybe that’s just how I play). And if you want to do something slightly less scary, we have a whole list of games for you to start pre-installing including more day one additions like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and more! Let’s get to the games.
• South Park: The Fractured but Whole (Cloud, Console, and PC) – October 16
• Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (Cloud, Console, and PC) – October 25
• Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (Cloud) – October 25
Game Pass Ultimate

Let the COD on GamePass experiment begin!
I would think their quarterly revenue will take a hit compared to a year ago, but will maybe make up for it throughout the year as the monthly GP subs keep coming in
Was up with call of duty man?
I downloaded cod on gamepass and for some reason I cannot access the game.
It's going to be very interesting to follow up on how the new entry of CoD will perform at the box office, player numbers and distribution of Xbox, PC and PS versions this year.
I got excited thinking they ported StarCraft to consoles but it's just the PC version. Also, I thought Starcraft 2 was already free to play.
Starship Troopers, and Avatar would surely bite the dust with the kind of CGI and live action scenes coming from the StarCraft franchise on the big screen, and its rich story.
That guy doesn't look like Jim Reynor....
Stephen Lang for Jim Raynor
Blizz CGI team should do a movie of their own
i mean really they know how to do a nice CGI short movies
http://www.youtube.com/watc...
just look at that ultralisk taking a fuckin siege tank shot at the end
truly epic
Rene Koiter wouldn't be the actor for Jim Raynor. He loves to disguise as Jim Raynor -- he's done so at Blizzcon 2010 and 2011.
The impression he gives in his letter is that he created this StarCraft Motion Adaptation (film) poster as a Halloween joke.
However, and come on those who know Blizzard history, what if he knows internal info that a StarCraft film is in discussion, and sort of leaked it in the shape of a hype/joke? You never know.
An example: I interviewed Richard A. Knaak early 2008 (February). When I asked if his novel Diablo: The Sin War would have any repercussion on future Diablo games, his answer was: "The ramifications here will be used for any future project … and I ain’t writing for a dead game. smile"
He knew Diablo III was in development, and candidly leaked info in a playful way. 4-5 months later, Blizzard officially announced Diablo III was in development in Paris at the 2008 Blizzard Worldwide Invitationals.
He didn't directly say Blizzard is currently developing Diablo III. However, his answer obviously hinted something was going on backstage.
I'm saying, Rene Koiter made this poster as a Halloween joke, but maybe he might be hinting at something being in the works behind the scene.
