they could have done much better, in my opinion

ATi_Elite4978d ago (Edited 4978d ago )

But DICE says "Phuck SP BF3 is all about the MP"

also DICE said "we could of used that time to get further along on Mirrors Edge 2". :)

Ashriel4978d ago

haha, well said

let's see how they do with mirror's edge 2 I hope they do away with some of the linearity

saladthieves4976d ago

Ah, Mirror's Edge 2...I can't wait to see what they come up with.

I think I should replay Mirror's Edge...it's been quite a while. If only it were longer.

Laxman4976d ago

I would prefer if Mirrors Edge 2 had a male protagonist. Or at least a more exciting lead female. Faith ruined the game for me. And yes, I know a lot of people absolutely love to play as female characters, but I am not one of them.

I think BF3's campaign was the best so far, they just have to work on their story and characters. Voice acting was top notch though.

FlashBack4976d ago

Voice acting doens't make a good campaign.
To be honest, COD campaigns are better, not saying they are great either.

mike_d_4976d ago

I'd have to disagree about the CoD campaigns. They just make you feel like the only soldier in the world that can do it.Yet you have 100 others around but yet only you can shoot the guys and do everything else.

StanLee4976d ago

@ mike_d

Have you played Battlefield 3's campaign because that's essentially what you described. Waiting for AI to open doors to progress forward is the most stupid think I've seen yet in a campaign. At least Call of Duty does much better and much more exciting set pieces.

Forbidden_Darkness4978d ago

So far (IMHO), the BF3 campaign has felt lack luster really, but I havent played too much of it yet.. I just think it's shooters in general that have felt that way (MW2, Blops, KZ3 and etc.), while I enjoy them enjoy enough to complete them, i'm left feeling nothing after completing them (like WOW thats was awesome or anything), but the online has me addicted! I never got into the Bad Company Battlefields, but this has me hooked. I really do think the multiplayer portion is essentially the reason anyone should buy this game.

rawrockkillz4977d ago

I'm having way more fun playing the BF3 single player than MW2 and Black Ops campaigns. Those were total crap.

Laxman4976d ago

Black Ops yes, the entire story and game structure was utter crap, but I quite enjoy the MW series single players. Only real reason im going to be picking up MW3.

Prophet1124976d ago (Edited 4976d ago )

Until you finish the SP campaign and you're like "WTF, is that it?". That's what happened to me.

Jdrm034976d ago

since when is it an essential part of the franchise lol. It never been more then training prior to the bad company spin offs.

EA Cuts Around 300 Roles, Including Roughly 100 at Respawn

In addition to the roughly 100 job cuts IGN reported earlier today at Respawn Entertainment, EA has made wider cuts across its organization today, impacting around 300 individuals total including those already reported at Respawn.

Absolutely insane. Man I'm hope they land on their feet EA needs to get the shit together badly....

This is why this industry has slow releases and none compelling games.

Why would anyone willingly work in the VG industry or specifically for one of these globocorp organizations that put you in constant fear of losing your livelihood based on terrible choices made by idiotic management, not the people with talent making the actual games?
