Dancestar Party Review (PS3) - GamerEuphoria

Paul, GamerEuphoria writes "I will admit right here, right now, that the only thing I find more terrifying than being selected to sing “Angels” at a low lit, local pub having it’s karaoke night, is having a letter through the door telling me I’ve been chosen to participate in a televised dancing contest. I consider myself to have about as much dancing ability as a Dalek. A worm could take me in a line dancing contest. So when I was approached to do this review, I’ll be openly honest and say I had “the fear”. Thankfully, Dancestar Party had the significant power to change my mind and get my steps hot."

I have all 3 major dance games, Dance Central 2 and Just Dance For Kinect and Dancestar Party for Move. I prefer to play Dancestar party out the lot. It has the best features when it comes to sharing videos and photos as well as it has a real person on screen to follow with the dancing meaning it's easy to follow. Not only that it has songs for everybody not just a bunch of pop songs like the other 2 so it has a broader appeal. Just a shame it's not got the kind of backing and push of the other 2. I really would advise it to dance fans if they have MOVE.

With games like Rhythm Thief and Theatrythym coming to the 3DS, there'll be music games for some time yet.

Video Review: DanceStar Party

If there is one thing that has managed to take motion control gaming by storm it’s the dance genre. Since motion games have been changing the way we play, for better or worse, the only games to do as well as mini-game games are dance games. Now Sony have decided to release their own dancing game in the form of DanceStar Party. Does this game get you on your feet and dancing or is it a flop?
