RAGE Review [MediaStinger]

MediaStinger: "It’s been a while since the fathers of the first-person shooter, id Software, released their last game. The third installment in the Doom series hit shelves back in 2004 for PC and was a graphics powerhouse that was surprisingly released a full year before the current wave of 7th-generation consoles debuted. With consoles like the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on their way out the door, id is finally back with their long awaited new franchise, Rage, a post-apocalyptic shooter with car racing elements that takes a detour from id’s FPS roots and is their first new IP since 1996′s Quake."

Ouch!

I'm planning to buy this game once I have time to play it. For now it's in my backlog. Might get it for mere 20 ponds soon too.

I had high expectations for this but now I have no interest in it at all anymore.
I thought it was going to be open world with dungeons that you could go to whenever you want and lots of weapons but instead its all scripted.
And I hate games like this with no chapter select and no new game + on top of that.

Exactly the same thing I was thinking dude, and I think thats the main reason a lot of people arent too happy with it; for years it was being marketed as something so different than what it actually ended up being. While its in no real way a bad game on any level, its nothing like what we were promised or wanted from it.
