Do you guys realize what this means? So many doors can be open with this amazing announcement. Think about it Activision has basically presented a possibly for future titles to be cross platform for multiplayer. They've set a precedency in the gaming world that can shake the idea that you must have friends on the same platform to play a online match of Call of Duty.

Cupid_Viper_32925d ago

isn't portal 2 already doing this between the ps3 and pc? so how is it that they're setting a precedency?

BLACKBIBLE2925d ago (Edited 2925d ago )

Big difference I'm not just saying 2 systems I'm saying all on Systems.
(On another Note)
The issue is that quite a few gamers see kids games as uninteresting. In some cases I understand but in the case of this game I'm incline to disagree. I honestly feel that this maybe the best Kids title of this gaming Generation. Why? because it has reinvented the idea of play time with friends.

If you can relate...Take a sec to remember that time when you were a kid who took his toys to his friends house to play with their toys. Thats what this game is for the current generation of kids.

Not only can they play with toys but they can use the toys to play video games with one another.

Wait How many of you knew that about the game? How many of you knew Skylander used actual toys?

@BlackBible...Its a great thing. Hopefully we will see this coming into more games towards the end of this gen, so its ready for the next one.
This could potentially get blocked by MS, Sony and nintendo, hopefully not but you never know.

awesome interview. cant wait for new spyro!

Darth Stewie2925d ago

New Spyro will still be crap compared to the Insomniac PS1 Spyro. If Activision continues this save feature than the title that should support it next should be COD.

zeal0us2925d ago

Wait its data sharing not actually cross platform playing?
Either way its a start.

xtheownerzx2925d ago

Yea,it allows you to bring your skylander to another friend's house and use the data from yours to play with theirs.

BLACKBIBLE2925d ago (Edited 2925d ago )

Yes, and that's what point. This is a bid deal because it brings forth the idea that Gamers from other Platforms can play together one day. You actually get to level up your monster on 1 system I.E PS3 and can bring it to fight your friends Monster on XBOX360!

caperjim2925d ago

Yes it is a start. Look at the recent games that are being launched with cross platform play like the new counter strike. PS3 even has an official mouse + keyboard. Look at articles of Microsofts universal gaming portal. Gaming across all platforms is about to change for the better my friend.
