ahah yeah, because everyone will suddenly flock to play games like that crappy looking racer with all volvos that they show, instead of forza or Gran turismo.

The thing is when an Apple product becomes mainstream it usually comes along with the crap that comes with the mainstream. With Apple trying to nudge their way into gaming with the iPhone/iPad etc, I really hope they don't introduce something that will interfere or ruin the way we play games in the long run, by catering to casual gamers/consumers. As we've seen this gen, publishers catch on to what's popular because it fills their pockets - and what's popular is not always a positive thing, especially in the mainstream!

Now if Apple innovate and cause no issues within the industry, I see no issue. Their touch technology cannot provide sufficient control for dedicated gamers. They will need some sort of traditional control interface, as well as whatever they might have planned for Touch gaming.
