IGN: Fanatec Forza Motorsport CSR Wheel Review

Equipping yourself to take on a legitimate racing simulator experience isn't an easy (or cheap) task. First, Microsoft discontinued the official wireless Xbox wheel that released alongside Forza Motorsport 3, and alternatives were few and far between. But with Forza Motorsport 4 hitting stores on October 11, Microsoft and Fanatec have teamed up once again to deliver a licensed Forza Motorsport wheel, shifter and pedal set that rival the best equipment available.

I bought a MOMO Millenium Steering wheel for my car and that cost way less!

buddymagoo2563d ago (Edited 2563d ago )

has this got 900 degrees rotation? Because I heard Forza doesn't support it? 900 degree rotation that is. Thanks in advance!

He means a real steering wheel! For his car.

Yes it does. Forza 4 Supports 900 degree wheel rotation as well.

I thought the CSR was $350 wtf? :(

StanLee2563d ago (Edited 2563d ago )

The CSR wheel is $250, add the shifter set for $60 and the CSR elite pedals for $150, that's $460; with shipping you're looking at $500.

I always shutter to hear MS release a peripheral because the price is always ridiculously high (harddrives, wifi, headsets, memory cards)

greatjimbo782563d ago

This isn't a MS peripheral. All Fanatec wheels are a bit on the pricey side though.

Its the Australia IGN site so I assume its in $AUD not US.
Yea. We get shafted for everything here.

Indeed you do. Awesome place to live though!

Why can't MS & Logitech shake hands on this, because that's too much for a complete wheel setup. not even the G27 cost that much at full retail.

BTW the shifter isn't normally that close to the wheel in real life, its impractical in real cars.
