DICE: BF3 is "very different" to MW3

I would think it's the other way around since COD is such a quick reaction kind of game versus BF is more strategic. I smoke occasionally and whenever I do my reaction time slightly decreases.

Oh, give me a fucking break. As a long-time COD player, I downloaded the BF3 beta and was able to run around and kill the shit out of people just fine without any teamwork, while the rest of my team was actually blowing up the soda machine, or whatever the fuck the goal is. Not to say I will play like that in the full game, but I certainly could...and it's not like I wasn't helpful, as I kept the objective area pretty clear of enemies...

It's a totally different style of FPS, they're just trying to cash in on the success of COD by actively marketing against it.

Seems a lot of people will be expecting a run & gun game with BF3, & I think it'll end up having more traded in copies than MW3.

We can't know untill we've played it, frankly I don't really mind if its slightly linear,as long as the story is good and the vehicular combat is included.

So why keep comparing yourself to it? You then attract COD folks who are hoping for a better graphics version of COD, who then hop off claiming it was an inferior experience. The Beta, and their constant COD bashing is going to hurt them come launch.

It's not going to stop me from buying BF3 day one, but there are consequences for talking out of both sides of your mouth.

I don't even see why BF and COD are being compaired against each other. The only thing you can really compare is sales. They are both very different types of shooters under the military field. I actually enjoy both series and even though COD will sell more it's not like the BF workers are going to starve. From the campaign footage I've seen, it looks like a bad ass game. I'm kinda tiered of seeing these BF/COD articles. I also think BF is trying to hard.

It's hard to make a sandbox single player game and expect the player to see everything the game has to offer. FPSs are especially hard to do because then the player can miss so many things that the designer wants them to see just because they were positioned wrong or something else caught their attention. So instead of "oh, that was cool!" it'd be "meh, another shooting range".

Um, that has never been DICE. That has been EA, Activision, "Infinity Ward," and all the fanboys of each game.
