The Great Gaming Crusade: "It’s been quite a year for The Legend of Zelda. To celebrate the 25th anniversary for one of the most revered franchises in gaming, Nintendo has pulled out everything from under those bushes to offer an anniversary worth celebrating. From Link’s Awakening DX on the 3DS eShop, followed by a remake of what some consider to be the best game ever made in the form of Ocarina of Time on 3DS, to what DSi and 3DS owners got for free last week: The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords. Yes, that’s right: for free. However, because the title is free, does it mean it’s not worth playing?"
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords required a GameCube and Game Boy Advances to play multiplayer, but releasing it on the Switch can fix that.
They should do a new one with the assets from A Link Between Worlds. Enough with the re-releases, remakes, and remasters. Least they could do is get their shit together and provide a new version of the Virtual Console or add all that stuff to the Online sub.
Alex S. from Link Cable Gaming writes: "Last week we took a look at ten games that, while great in their own right kind of represented what most people think of when they think of DSiWare; small games that offer fun, but limited experiences. And while that's definitely a defining feature of DSiWare games the service was also home to some surprisingly deep experiences that you can take on the go. And that's really what defines the best games for the service, games that went above and beyond what people expected from it."
Rebecca writes: "Next year is Zelda's 35th anniversary. If it's treated the same way Mario is, what kind of announcements could we expect?"
Having played a lot of the GameCube version, this game seems like a more cohesive experience.
