Love the way the NPCs react to their environment. THIS is how stealth should be done. And check out all the lines of text. Its not like Arkham Asylum where the NPC's repeat the same phrases over and over again.

Wow really MAJ0R? You sure you have a pulse? That looked like a badass more polished batman arkham asylum which isn't a bad thing. I can tell they had some collaboration on design choices with rocksteady since they're all pretty much part of the same organization of developers under square enix. They made the whole scene look really dramatic but i wonder if it'll be that easy for players to do.

I don't think you understand, the whole demo was straight up boring. he takes cover, moves along cover, waits for enemy to pass, continues along cover (uses wizard powers to see through walls), knocks out the lights, then does some takedowns. not sure how you can say the gameplay isn't a carbon copy of Uncharted's stealth

whether the whole game is fun and variety is added will only be known when we see more gameplay but as of now, it looks pretty generic

..omg. The variety was in the environments and the voice acting. The special kills with vases and weapons, the music when being attacked by a helicopter (I felt badass JUST watching that heli scene with the music).

What's funny is that this game looks and gives that feeling of Silent Assassin, which makes you realise how many games this generation have borrowed from the Hitman franchise. Impressive.

100% nooby and not needed
if you want to play stealth you should wait and observe your enemies and not having the game telling it to you !!

I vomited in my mouth when I saw the Batman vision + future path movement thing. Seems too linear, too. Reminds me too much of Conviction.

It's funny with interesting environment, but it's just looking to be another unimpressive "action-stealth" game of this generation. It doesn't look "bad", but not quite like a traditional Hitman game.

^ Doesn't seem linear to me.

Seems to have the same type of level design as the previous games.
There seems to be a bigger focus on action set-pieces (such as the heli part), but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
It reminded me of Contracts.

One direction to take.
Set piece.
Through 4:40
Cops all on one side of the room.
One exit/advancement point.
Through 5:30
You can't just go left or right of the cop, because he will see you on the left, and if you go far right, you'll be dancing with those other cops.
Through 6:30
Only stealthy path is straight.
Through 6:50
Probably the "option" to either kill him with the statue or just push him.
Through 7:00
Set piece.
Through 8:00
One way to hide and get past investigating cop. You could drop down and kill him probably.
There MIGHT be another way to do this part, but I'm sure in the regular game there will be HUD hints that "suggest" you to grab that cop.

And the rest of it, very linear and full of set pieces. Looks pretty thoroughly linear to me.

Here's hoping that maybe this is just an introductory level or something, and other levels are more opened up.

^ Hmm, I guess you're right on most of 'em.
Though there were cases where I'd expect different things to happen, such as, what happens if you disguise yourself as a cop in the first section?

... or what happens if you hide and let the cops fight the druggies.

... but yea, hopefully it is an introductory level as it also showcases most of 47's arsenal and I doubt IO would want to completely spoil an actual level.

Good -

1) Assuming it's not all one path scripted, which it very well might be, then that is a lot of contextual dialogue events. The guards knowing who you've got hostage was brilliant. So was most of the other dialogue, more games need to do this.

2) Visually looks great.

3) Sound design and the ambient overtones fit very well.

Bad -

1) Showing walking routines is a sign of how simplified games have become, they make no logical sense and pretty much baby you. Sure you don't have to use them, but it's the principle. Like open book exams, having them as an option should mean the game is 10x harder.

2) Hopefully it gives you other options and doesn't force any stealth reveals like here with the heli.

3) Autoaim looks way too simplified.

4) It revives your 'stealth-meter' with kills/knockouts, for a hitman game with a legacy of rewarding you for killing your target and only your target that's not a good sign.

but heres the but, would some who has never played the game know where to go without getting seen every to seconds and the game ending in a fire of bullets and you would have to reply the level like 100 times looks smart when the developor plays it coz he knows the game backwards
also if any1 knows were that weed grow house is could they let me know that looked like real trippy shhit

Remember the tutorial/opening mission of Blood Money? It was linear as hell. Then it gave you the option to approach the other missions how you want. This will be the same I think.

Wow this looks Awesome, they brought it back to the old school Hitman which was the best - I forget which one it was but it was like when Hitman first came out...

This follows that theme but brings it up to next gen and does an amazing job..

I love how they did this, it's looking amazing it has really intelligent stealth and it has action too.. This is how you do a Hitman in 2011

Amazing Job, This Looks like it's going to be an Awesome game.. Wow just never expected it would be this good... Looks Really nice..

No that was a really damn good scripted moment. the game just has small detail after small detail and its very impressive.
I'm just glad that the action is the lesser portion of the game, and that tactics are a MAJOR component.

There will be a "hardcore" mode where you can remove this effect. This is just done, as usual, to bring the less hardcore into the experience of the Hitman franchise. I'm just glad that they didn't go full out action. I just wonder if the open scenario feel will still remain. I used to dream up ways to complete Hitman levels...Invariably they would work.

That was really impressive , this game has just got up high on peoples radar the scene , pacing the music and action seems to bring the hitman series right back at the top. The ending how he dissapeared into the crowd was just plain awesome.

Really Uncharted Stealth sections are the less impressive aspects of the game.. and i think your missing out the fact that Hitman came out way before Uncharted and was a pioneer in the stealth genre. Brush up on your gaming knowledge and history and learn about the heritage of the hitman series before you speak with no knowledge.

I hate this push to make games ridiculously easy. The fun of every other Hitman is the trial and error aspect, it adds to replayability.

This looks like another one-play-through-wonder.

X ray, and that prediction movement system is plain stupid.
You will be able to disable it, but it sucks games get dumbed downed and developers don't dare to make a challenging game.

There is ZERO original about Uncharted and its gameplay mechanics, the exact same kind of thing was around years before it, not to say it isn't a great series.

My fears about the series are gone. They have made the game go from a little stiff to seriously cinematic! Definitely getting my bald assassin fix when this comes out!

Never even played the series before but that looked slick. Reminded me of the start of Uncharted 2 and Assassins creed.

I now want this game.



I don't know... but yet again it feels like the same set pieces are being copy and pasted from one game to the next.

Yet another "dodge the chopper while it sprays through the window section"... come on, there are plenty of other Hollywood action scenes we could rip-off.

Anyway, it does look good but again I am not feeling the whole lets make this as easy as possible crap that is going on in games these days. I need to see more before I decide it's a must buy.
