British game devs 'pump £1 billion into UK economy'

But two fifths of studios are struggling to access finance
The UK’s games development industry contributed about £1 billion to GDP last year, new data suggests.
Games industry association Tiga made the claim as part of its annual comprehensive survey of more than one hundred UK games studios.

Yet the media keeps blaming the videogame industry for poor grades, violence and everything bad you can think of.

Not giving the kids nutricious food and enough exercise in school sounds like a more logical relation to the poor grades to me.
